LinkedIn & Brand Management

Brand Management is becoming easier with features such as LinkedIn’s “Follow Company” Button that directs visitors to their page.

You may not have noticed, but about two months ago LinkedIn announced their “Follow Company” button that could be placed on companies’ websites. The link allows visitors to follow all content posted by a particular company on their LinkedIn page.

On the surface, this might not seem that innovative, but you must remember that LinkedIn is primarily a professional networking website. So, those who follow a company page are most likely interested in job posting and industry trends.

From a company’s perspective, this is incredibly useful for brand management, because it is essentially a free way to increase brand awareness and connect with their target audience. LinkedIn offers various analytic tools that allow a company or organization to track their progress.

It is the perfect place for individuals, companies, and organizations to build an online community around their brand. LinkedIn is professional and free of the time-wasting distractions found on other social media websites. It has definitely become more than a virtual resume for job-hunters, it is now a place where companies and organizations can connect with their key publics.
