This Week in PR: Relevant, newsworthy content for PR students and professionals
Previously, these posts have been a compilation of my fortunate discoveries on the internet (i.e. articles and content I stumble upon in my daily online activity). This was until I discovered a wonderful thing called Google Alerts, which sends you regular emails regarding specified search terms. I recommend that you set these up for your internship or current job position. The benefit is that Google Alerts automatically filters news and search information to give you content that is relevant to your industry or company/organization.
Now, for the news:
- Award-winning PR and Marketing Communications Firm, Clearpoint Agency, Turns 10 and Launches New Website. I like their new website!
- PR guru: More Prince Harry photos, video may emerge; Murdoch’s Sun publishes nude pictures How will the Prince deal with the attention he has received lately due to supposed nude photos of him in Las Vegas.
- Harvey: Ex-Penn State prez talks himself into trouble. This whole case still sickens me, and even more so knowing that those involved are not remorseful whatsoever.
- Obama’s AMA may have been a great PR move for his campaign and for Reddit. I love that President Obama is harnessing the power of social media… My only question is, is it really him behind the computer answering questions?
These are my top picks for this week in PR. Add to the list in my comments section!
