Advance Your Career & Your Life: Set Goals

Create the life you want through goal setting

I am just returning from a Panhellenic Council leadership retreat in Utica, NY. So, it seems appropriate to post something about what I learned there!

Evaluating success is so important. In order to evaluate our success, though, we must first set obtainable goals and objectives to strive towards throughout our day to day functions. Setting a goal is a great way to motivate yourself in the workplace, or any other part of life.

What I learned at the All Councils retreat is that it is best to work as a collective unit when creating and carrying out goals.

Create the life you want through goal setting. You can do this by visualizing where you want to be five, ten, fifteen years from now. This is relevant to public relations, because the work we do everyday is often to complete some larger project.

Public relations isn’t just about interacting with the media. It is also about strategic planning and crisis management.

I’ve included a motivation video on setting goals.
